who we are
"While the latest vintages (2014-2017) have been considered by many in Napa and Sonoma as epic in terms of overall quality, I wouldn't disagree, but I think we've also been lucky. That said, working with well-known, longstanding growers and a talented winemaking team, we're confident, year over year, that we can produce the very best wines possible, and that's incredibly rewarding.
Our approach is simple - let the varietal speak for itself where we can as much as possible. For our 2015 Syndicate Sangiovese, for example, the fruit was so stunning that creating a Super Tuscan would have been a total mistake, and we agreed to let the wine do it's thing. We bottled 98% Sangiovese with 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot. The result is fruity, lush, and a gorgeous representation of California Sangiovese unlike anything we've ever tasted.
